Alexandria Kisow (she/her), 22, is a filmmaker & photographer based in Pittsburgh, Chicago, and New York City. She recently graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television.
Alexandria's work is mainly focused on people. Rather, the strongest form of her art is the visualization and the mirroring of people reflecting onto her. She sees the people she photographs and films as herself, as if she were them. Alexandria's visuals showcase the beauty of all her subjects-- not just in how they look, but in the setting, vantage point, and so on.
Because she mostly works with film, she has broadened her view on photography and filmmaking. Not just by solely photographing on 35mm, but with large and medium format. In terms of her filmmaking career, Alexandria has worked with Super 8 and 16mm film.
This year, Alexandria was able to take a large-format photography class. She took self-portraits to counteract the way she presents herself on film versus the way she photographs.
Alexandria works primarily with analog film, including 35mm, medium format, large format, & polaroid. Some work also includes digital.
Portfolio consists of commercial, fashion editorial work, & street photography, as well as analog filmmaking.
